The Solar Power Platform Hackathon, which took place in October 2022, was a collaboration between Microsoft and Seton Hall University to drive an innovation mindset for students in AI & Data across multiple universities globally, giving them the opportunity to explore real-world problem areas. The students analyzed the coverage and equitable access to community solar facilities for different demographic communities in New Jersey, and proposed new solar development sites to expand access to the New Jersey Community Solar Energy Program.

Several Montclair State University students were selected to appear in a new video created to showcase Montclair's academic and campus life. The film will be shown to prospective students and their families when they visit campus. Short excerpts will be used as part of an advertising campaign launching in the spring semester.

This strategy simulation game, also known as BSG, actively engages students in managing a virtual company competing in a global marketplace. Each week, student teams are measured on four performance variables (Overall Score, Earnings per Share, Return on Equity, and Stock Price) and top-performing teams are posted on the BSG website. During the team's win the week of November 21st, there were 3,072 teams from 176 colleges/universities participating in the simulation worldwide.
