Double-overtime win against Christopher Newport on November 12 sends Red Hawks to NCAA Sectional Round

Senior AILEEN CAHILL and freshman SHANNON MULLINS collected major awards as the Montclair State University women's soccer team placed six on the on the All-New Jersey Athletic Conference Teams on Nov. 1.

Junior forward AMER LUKOVIC, junior midfielder OWEN MURPHY, and junior defender IAN CHESNEY gained major awards as the No. 5 Montclair State University men's soccer team placed seven on the All-New Jersey Athletic Conference Team on Nov. 2.

The No. 5 and top-seeded Montclair State University claimed its ninth New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship with a 4-2 triumph over second-seeded Rowan University on Nov. 4.

Congratulations to Peter Kessler, Veena Reddy, Viviana Pavon Landeta, and Reema Joukhai for placing 3rd in the Solar Power Platform Hackathon. The Solar Power Platform Hackathon, which took place in October 2022, was a collaboration between Microsoft and Seton Hall University to drive an innovation mindset for students in AI & Data across multiple universities globally, giving them the opportunity to explore real-world problem areas. The students analyzed the coverage and equitable access to community solar facilities for different demographic communities in New Jersey, and proposed new solar development sites to expand access to the New Jersey Community Solar Energy Program.

Several Montclair State University students were selected to appear in a new video created to showcase Montclair's academic and campus life. This strategy simulation game, also known as BSG, actively engages students in managing a virtual company competing in a global marketplace. Each week, student teams are measured on four performance variables (Overall Score, Earnings per Share, Return on Equity, and Stock Price) and top-performing teams are posted on the BSG website. During the team's win the week of November 21st, there were 3,072 teams from 176 colleges/universities participating in the simulation worldwide.
