Montclair State University Hosts "The Leadership Toolbox" for Future K-12 Administrators at Union College of Union County

Montclair, NJ (04/03/2025) — Montclair State University is hosting "The Leadership Toolbox: Innovative Skills for Future K-12 Administrators" a series of professional development sessions designed to empower educational leaders with the tools necessary to navigate the future of K-12 administration. These events will take place at the University Center for UCNJ (Union College of Union County) in Scotch Plains, NJ, and offer valuable insights into crisis management, integrating technology, and effective communication for educators.

• Monday, April 7, 2025 | 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
  Leading Through a Crisis: What Every Administrator Should Know
  Dr. Thomas Gambino, Educational Leadership Professor at Montclair State University, will lead a session focused on crisis management. Participants will gain crucial leadership skills to stay composed, make quick decisions, and implement effective crisis response plans. The session will include real-world case studies on school evacuations, threats, and medical emergencies.
• Monday, May 5, 2025 | 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
  AI Study Hall: An Immersive Educator Session
  Join Joseph Bavazzano, Joe Yankus, and Gina Policastro from the ADP Center for Learning Technologies at Montclair State University for an immersive session exploring the role of artificial intelligence in education. This hands-on workshop will boost educators' confidence in using AI tools for assessment, engagement, and teaching. Participants are encouraged to bring their devices for an interactive experience.
• Tuesday, June 3, 2025 | 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
  Creating with Canva: Content Creation for the Educator of Tomorrow
  In this workshop, participants will master Canva's design tools to enhance their school's branding and communication materials. Joseph Bavazzano from the ADP Center for Learning Technologies at Montclair State University will guide educators in creating compelling visuals for newsletters, presentations, and social media. This interactive session requires attendees to bring their devices for a hands-on experience.
